That is why wallcovering remains one of our favorite ways to give a space a point of view. 📸 @rymcdon #colorfulinteriors #wallcovering #interiordesign #homedesign #jamesthomasinteriors
The details are doing all the talking in our bedro The details are doing all the talking in our bedroom at THE MART. 🪞 A custom carpet from @starkcarpet grounds the room, while the wood-grain wall covering from @nobilis_paris brings warmth and depth. Antique mirror tiles frame the cased openings, adding a subtle Art Deco influence. Tailored and, of course, a little unexpected. 🤎 Come experience our bedroom in person! #THEMARTShowhouse #sourcethemart #InteriorDesign #homedecor #homedesign
Summer days here in Chicago have us counting down Summer days here in Chicago have us counting down until our next weekend at Torch Lake. ☀️ A little work, a little rest, and plenty of personality in between. The bedrooms and office may be tucked away from the main rooms, but thoughtful color and charming details give them just as much character. The quiet rooms deserve their moment too! 😉 Featured in Spring ‘26 @housebeautiful 📸 @rymcdon #housebeautiful #torchlake #featuredproject #designeditorial #summerdays
Nothing like a studio full of creative minds! ✨ L Nothing like a studio full of creative minds! ✨ Last week, we had the pleasure of welcoming the Design Leadership Network to our studio. It was a wonderful opportunity to open our doors, share a glimpse into our world, and spend time with a community that understands how much thought, collaboration, and yes, a bit of fun go into creating memorable spaces. Thank you to everyone who joined us. We loved having you! #interiordesign #DesignLeadershipNetwork #designcommunity #behindthedesign #homedesign
A bedroom with a well-traveled point of view? Now A bedroom with a well-traveled point of view? Now that’s our kind of escape. 😉 For the 2026 SHOWHOUSE at THE MART, we envisioned a richly layered private sleeping carriage inspired by the romance of the golden age of train travel and the unforgettable spirit of @belmond. A dramatic palette of deep green and rich brown, accented with gold and umber, creates a retreat that feels both transportive and timeless. Experience the SHOWHOUSE at THE MART Monday-Friday, 9AM-5PM, and Saturday, 10AM-3PM, now through November. A special thank you to @lamaisonpierrefrey and @zimmerandrohde for helping bring our vision to life, and to @indieblackmagic for capturing it so beautifully. #THEMARTShowhouse #sourcethemart #InteriorDesign #homedecor #homedesign

This past week, we lost one of the truly good ones This past week, we lost one of the truly good ones. Dave Dawson had a rare gift for making everyone around him feel valued. Together with his wife, Jen, he built an extraordinary company, but more importantly, he built a culture of kindness. He was someone we have admired for years, not only for his vision, but for the way he treated people. We feel incredibly grateful for the time we shared with Dave and for the friendships we've found within the @urbanelectricco family he helped shape. His beautiful lighting will continue to grace the homes of so many of our clients, but his greatest legacy will always be the example he set. This weekend, let's raise a glass to one of the very best. Dave, you will be deeply missed. 💔
Yesterday we had such a great day with the @homewo Yesterday we had such a great day with the @homeworthy team filming something special. We can’t wait to share more, but until then, here’s a little behind-the-scenes look.. Stay tuned! 🎥🎉
In bespoke interiors, details are everything and @ In bespoke interiors, details are everything and @josephsonjames at our firm, brings them in spades. The magic of a truly personal home is not found in big gestures. It's found in the hundreds of thoughtful decisions along the way and Jim has a gift for making each one count. It's that level of thoughtfulness that transforms a house and makes every James Thomas project feel connected. Cheers to the small moments in life! 🥂 #bespoke #curated #interiordesign #interiorstyling
Clearly, we are not afraid of a little personality Clearly, we are not afraid of a little personality! 💅 From striped ceilings and trellis-lined dining rooms to a hand-painted tortoise shell ceiling and custom storage for a client’s miniature liquor bottle collection, we believe the most memorable spaces are the ones that tell a story. Every project is different and honestly, isn’t that the fun part?! 😉
A canopy moment. ✨ For our bedroom at THE MART sh A canopy moment. ✨ For our bedroom at THE MART showhouse, we envisioned a dramatic draped bed that would feel both transportive and glamorous. Wrapped in Abkaou by @pierrefreyusa, the canopy became the heart of our room at @themartshowrooms. Its layered drapery creates a sense of escape while bringing just a touch of drama to the space. A special thank you to Pierre Frey, we are so grateful for your continued partnership. 🙏
